During the day there are great trails of many different challenge levels. We enjoyed the rocky ledge trail, which had great views of the Pease river, the park lake, and the river canyon.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent hiking trails. Love equestrian campsite excellent cell service and great views. Feed the longhorns at 2pm is a must.

With views from horizon to horizon, a clear night gives a clear view of the milky way, shooting stars, passing satellites, and planets. Be sure to bring your telescope!

This place has amazing views great camping sites and a great abundances of Wildlife around. Great fishing holes and night skies that are a site to behold. I went to see the Perseid meteor shower and unfortunately it was a cloudy night hope to call again soon on a clear night. But I did catch my first Bobcat to photograph.

We went up the other side of the hill and saw the water and electric sites and will definitely pay the extra money to stay at those. The sites are spacious, clean and look very well maintained. The bathrooms are clean and we will drive up the hill just to do our business and take showers.

There are high winds at the park, so bring an extra tarp to tie on one side of your picnic shelter, so your food prep is easier.

You definitely pay for the quality. Out of the many years that I have camped, I've always camped at water and electric sites. This time around, my boyfriend and I gave just water a try and the quality of the campgrounds and bathrooms are definitely subpar and disappointing. The water only sites are small and very littered and look at though no one cleans them before you arrive. As far as bathroom cleanliness... I would not touch them with a 10-foot pole.

The perfect park for star gazing!

Great place to get away. If you are camping though bring your own toilet paper! At the camp site I went to someone took all the toilet paper at night.

The park itself is alright, lots of hiking but just a fair warning, you are paying for a quality of living and I would 100% suggest staying in the water and electric sites unless dirtiness and uncleanliness is not an issue.

If you visit the nearby town of Quanah, be sure to eat at Medicine Mound Depot Restaurant. It's in the old train depot and has delicious comfort food!
